Registration Steps to become a Community Child Health Practitioner

  1. Accredited Undergraduate Medicine Degree or Postgraduate Medicine Degree
  2. General Medical Registration
  3. Completion of RACP Basic Physician Training, including the RACP Written and Clinical Examinations
  4. Six Years of full-time training, including three years of basic or paediatric training, and three years of Community Child Health training.

General Paediatrics Professionals are concerned with diagnosing, treating and caring for infants, toddlers, children and youth up to 18 years old.

Registration Steps to become a General Paediatrics Practitioner

  1. Accredited Undergraduate Medicine Degree or Postgraduate Medicine Degree
  2. General Medical Registration
  3. Completion of RACP Basic Physician Training, including the RACP Written and Clinical Examinations
  4. Six Years of full-time training, including three years of basic or paediatric training, and three years of Advanced General Paediatrics training.

Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine Professionals are concerned with diagnosing, treating and managing disorders and diseases related to newborn infants. This includes all infants ranging from healthy newborns to those requiring intensive care.

Registration Steps to become a Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine Professionals

  1. Accredited Undergraduate Medicine Degree or Postgraduate Medicine Degree
  2. General Medical Registration
  3. Completion of RACP Basic Physician Training, including the RACP Written and Clinical Examinations
  4. Six Years of full-time training, including three years of paediatrics and three years of Advanced Neonatal/Perinatal Training.
